Overview

The screen and the mount are the parts that go on the building and stay there, and they are the parts worth getting square. A fixed-frame screen with a black velvet border gives a hard edge for the image to sit inside, which is most of why a proper screen beats a painted wall. The universal ceiling mount takes the projector, and its adjustment is what lets the image be aligned to the frame rather than approximately near it.

Do I need professional installation for this?

A kit is easier to self-install than a system designed from scratch, because the matching is already done. What is still worth paying for is upstream of the hardware: where each piece goes, cable pulled and terminated properly, and the result actually verified rather than assumed. Installation is an option you add, never forced. Installation isn't charged today. Aji quotes it after a free walkthrough.

What's included

Who it's for

  • A media room or basement where a 120-inch image suits the wall and the seating distance
  • Anyone who already owns a projector, or is choosing one separately
  • Rooms that can be darkened — a fixed-frame screen rewards light control

What it covers

  • A 120-inch diagonal 16:9 fixed-frame screen, and the ceiling mount for the projector
  • The permanent, building-side half of a projection setup

What you'll also need

These are genuine requirements this kit does not contain — the parts whose size, length or specification depends on your building or your room. We would rather you read this now than discover it after delivery.

  • A projector. We do not currently stock projectors, so this is chosen separately — throw distance, brightness and resolution all depend on the room, and we will specify one against yours at the walkthrough if you want us to.
  • An HDMI run from the projector position back to your rack or console, long enough to route through the ceiling rather than across it
  • A power outlet at the projector position
