Overview

Two bullets and two domes on a 4-channel recorder: bullets for the driveway and the back of the house, where a visible camera does some of the work on its own, and domes for the porch and the side gate, where they sit closer to head height. Every camera takes power and sends video down a single Cat6 run, so there is no second power cable to find a route for. Recording is local and continuous, which means footage keeps being written even when the internet drops.

Do I need professional installation for this?

A kit is easier to self-install than a system designed from scratch, because the matching is already done. What is still worth paying for is upstream of the hardware: where each piece goes, cable pulled and terminated properly, and the result actually verified rather than assumed. Installation is an option you add, never forced. Installation isn't charged today. Aji quotes it after a free walkthrough.

What's included

Who it's for

  • A single-family home covering the front, the drive, the back door and one side
  • Anyone starting from scratch, with no camera cable in the walls yet
  • Owners who want to look back at a week or two, not just watch a live view

What it covers

  • Four camera positions — the recorder has exactly four channels, so this is a complete four-camera system rather than an expandable one
  • 5MP on every camera, which is enough to identify a face at a doorway and a vehicle on a drive
  • 2TB of surveillance-rated storage, fitted in the recorder before it ships

What you'll also need

These are genuine requirements this kit does not contain — the parts whose size, length or specification depends on your building or your room. We would rather you read this now than discover it after delivery.

  • Cat6 network cable — one run from the recorder to each camera position. Four runs for this kit, and the length depends on your building, so it is not something that can sensibly go in a box.
  • Western Digital

    Surveillance Hard Drive

A drive built to be written to continuously, forever — because a desktop drive in a recorder is a failure with a date on it.

  • W Box Technologies

    Professional Monitor

A screen built to stay on permanently — for a camera wall, a reception display or a back-office monitor that never gets switched off.

    • 1366×768–1920×1080
    • 19"–43"
